To Crock or Not to Crock

That is the Question….

crock

I don’t know about you but I’m a “out of sight, out of mind type of gal”. If things aren’t right out in front of me, I often forget I even own them and they don’t get used.

Unless properly organized, this could lead to a messy looking space.

One thing I have found that I absolutely love in my kitchen is a crock to hold my kitchen tools. I still have a drawer full of kitchen tools too, but the ones I use the most are in my crock. It makes it so simple to just pull out what I need while cooking.

There are some really cute crocks out there. The one above is the one I got from Amazon a year ago. It wasn’t cheap but it’s heavy duty and will last forever. Click the image if you want to check it out on Amazon. In fact if you click any image here, it will take you to where you can buy it.

Personalized Stoneware Crock 2 Quart

I also like the ones that can be personalized. I debated about getting one of those. Aren’t these sweet?

Crocks are usually made out of heavy stoneware but can be ceramic, stainless steel, wood  or even plastic.

There is a wide range of prices for them too. I have seen them from the $10 range up to the $80 range.

You can use them for lots of things too, not just in the kitchen. Think about one in your bathroom to hold your hairbrushes. One on your vanity to hold your makeup tools. One in your craft room to hold your crafting tools. They can also be used as planters like the personalized one above.

Below are some I really like:

Signature Housewares Sorrento Tool Jar

Love this one above, with the raised decorations and it comes in this pretty butter color along with ivory, red or green.

Progressive International Rotating Tool Crock This is an interesting 2 piece crock. Although the style is a little too modern for my taste, I really like the added cup thingie attached to the crock for the smaller tools.

Progressive International Tilting Tool Crock

Here’s another interesting design. Still too modern for me, but I love that it tilts. This would make a great pen holder in your office too.

Le Creuset Enameled Stoneware Crock

This one above is my absolute favorite! Love this color and design. So pretty.

Progressive International Porcelain Tool Crock Here’s a nice simple ceramic crock at a very reasonable price.

I’d love to know if you use crocks and how you use them. Leave a comment and let me know.

I didn’t know these were called crocks! I use crocks on my counter to store my spatulas and large spoons. but, I use old vases and an oatmeal canister I covered with cloth from our kitchen curtains. I also use a super large vase to put potatoes in. Thanks for sharing!

That’s interesting Michelle about the oatmeal canister. I love to repurpose things. I like your potato storage idea too.
