Meal Plan for December 24-30

Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you have a great holiday and enjoy the last full week of 2012. What are your Christmas plans? Mine are pretty simple. All 3 of my kids and my granddaughter will be here all day Christmas. MayMay will see what Santa brought her and then we will open presents. Then I’ll make a big Christmas breakfast of eggs, bacon and cinnamon rolls. Then we will just hang out all day and watch movies and play with our new gadgets or whatever. For dinner, I’ll make my special lasagna dinner for them and then they will go on to visit their friends.

Here’s my dinner menu this week:

Monday
Finger Food Dinner (I always do this on Christmas eve) such as Cheesy Potato Skins, Piggies in a Blanket, Veggies and Dip,etc.
Tuesday
Lasagna
Salad
Garlic Bread
Wednesday
Ham and Cheesy Potatoes
Thursday
Chicken and Noodles
Greens
Friday
Fast Food Friday
Saturday
Grilled Steak
Grilled Veggies: Peppers, Mushrooms, Onions
Sunday
Cube Steak and Gravy
Mashed Potatoes
Broccoli

My recipe this week is for Chicken and Noodles:

Chicken and Noodles
2 c. cubed or shredded cooked chicken
3 c. cooked egg noodles
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c milk
1/4 t black pepper
1/2 t poultry seasoning
1/3 c grated Parmesan cheese

Mix together milk and soups in a pot. Add Parmesan and spices and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and add chicken and egg noodles. Cook until everything has been heated through, usually 5-10 minutes.

Have a great week!

Have a wonderful and delicious Merry Christmas!

I always admired those who were organized enough to plan the week in advanced. I’m a day to day kind of gal.

  3. I used to be a day to day kind of gal too Joyce. But I guess I like the security of knowing I have dinner planned out and all the ingredients bought ahead of time.
