Meal Plan Monday for May 28 to June 3

I’m baaaccck! I finally got caught up with the backlog of work I accumulated when I took my family to Disney World for a week.

Disney World was awesome by the way. I hope we can go again in a few years when MayMay is old enough to really remember it.

Here she is with Belle from Beauty and the Beast:

The princesses were her favorite. In fact one morning we had breakfast with the princesses that she loved. It was expensive (as is pretty much everything at Disney World) but was totally worth it just to see the awe on her face when they came up and talked to her.

Okay, on to the this week’s menu plan.

BBQ Chicken
Corn on the Cob
Strawberry Shortcake
Taco Salad
Chicken Broccoli Braided Ring
Fast Food Friday
Grilled Steak
Baked Potato
Green Beans
Grilled Hamburgers
Strawberry Shortcake

My recipe this week is something I had at a neighbor’s Pampered Chef party. I actually remember eating this at a PC party about 30 years ago and loved it then too. I don’t know why I didn’t make it before.

Anyway you can find the recipe on their site. They have loads of great recipes I want to try on there.  Click here to get the Chicken Broccoli Braid.

And below is the picture of it:

Hope y’all have a great week!

  1. Love – love – love the Chicken Broccoli Braid. I used to sell Pampered Chef and it was one of my favorite recipes. I’ve been thinking about making it but the family has wrinkled their nose at that suggestion.

Glad you enjoyed your time at Disney.

  2. I can’t imagine your family doesn’t like the Chicken Broccoli Braid. Is it because of the broccoli?
My family doesn’t particularly like broccoli (although I love it) but I’m hoping they won’t notice it since it’s chopped so fine in this recipe.

    1. Who knows what is wrong with them 🙂 Right now my husband is on a no bread diet while the kids just don’t like broccoli. i’ll probably slip it in sometime when my husban is working second shift. If the kids don’t like it they can fend for themselves that night! I hope you can hide the broccoli well and your family likes it well enough to put into your regular rotation.

  3. I hope so too Liz.

Someone told me once that since I was the cook, I could make whatever I wanted and the rest of the family could eat it or not. Problem is, it’s such a waste if I am the only one who will eat it.

Just like quiche. I love it but no one else does in my family and after trying different versions of it 4-5 times with no one else eating it, I finally gave up.

Now I just get it when I see it on a menu when I’m out to eat.
