Should I go with the rant first or the request? Hmmm, maybe we better go with the request first. Because you might think I’m whiny after you read the rant and not want to help me out.
The request is easy. The Frazzled Homemaker is in a competition for the Top 25 Home Management Blogs. Now, I know I won’t win the top spots as some of those have thousands and hundreds of votes. But I’d really love for this blog to make it into the top 25, even if it’s towards the bottom of the top 25 winners.
Voting is easy and you can vote once a day. Though you don’t have to vote every day for me. Once would sure be appreciated. Unless, of course, you want to vote every day. I sure wouldn’t want to stop you!
Just click on this button below and scroll down until you find The Frazzled Homemaker. You will see the same logo that’s in the header banner. As of this writing, I only have 27 votes so I’m pretty far down. When you find me, just click on the vote button and that’s it!
Now on to the rant. It happened again! I was in Walmart waiting in line to check out. As usual, there were not enough cashiers, and even in the middle of the day, the lines were long.
When it was my turn, I put everything on the conveyor belt and moved up by the cashier. The person behind me seemed to think that meant it was okay for him to move up so he was totally crowding my personal space. First he pushed his cart up so far that it actually hit me while I was putting bags in my cart. No apology.
Then while I’m trying to use my debit card to pay for my groceries, this guy moves up so close to me, I was sure he was able to see me putting my PIN number in. I actually stopped, and moved the electronic payment processor away from him so he couldn’t see. You’d think he’d get the hint but he just stood there staring with a blank look on his face.
I would like to say I had the guts to tell this guy to give me some space but I didn’t.
I would also like to say this is the first time it has happened to me but unfortunately it happens almost every time I go to Walmart. It doesn’t happen when I go to other stores so that leaves me to wonder if it’s just something unique to the clientele of Walmart?
What is going on? Were these people raised by wolves with no social skills or manners at all? GRRRR!
Okay, I got that out of my system. And yes, I know I probably should just stop shopping at Walmart if I don’t like this little phenomenon but the store is so close to my house. And it’s cheap.
As a little reward for putting up with my rant, watch this video below about the People of Walmart. I think you will get a kick out of it. Warning: Some things on this video are a little on the raunchy side.
